French prayer book now available in ePub and Mobi formats
A selection of 292 prayers by Bahá’u’lláh, the Báb, and ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.
This past summer, over 1640 youth gathered at ten youth conferences across Canada and reflected on their role in contributing to the advancement of civilization. Groups of youth have been working to implement the plans made during these gatherings, which were called by the National Spiritual Assembly, and held in Halifax, N.S., Saskatoon, Sask., Vancouver, B.C., Victoria, B.C., Calgary, Alta., Montreal, Que., Kelowna, B.C., Waterloo, Ont., Ottawa, Ont., and Toronto, Ont.

The Bahá’í World News Service website recently reported a number of developments that concern the situation of the Bahá’ís in Iran, which include Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s failure to improve the human rights situation in Iran, new tactics to prevent Bahá’í students from pursuing higher education, and a new documentary film on the topic.
An article published mid-September on the Baha’i World News Service website announced the unveiling of the design for one of the local Baha’i Houses of Worship to be built in the Norte del Cauca region of Colombia.
More than 150 people from all parts of Quebec gathered at Camp Papillon in St-Alphonse-Rodriguez, Lanaudière Region, to attend the Quebec Bahá’í summer school that took place 13 to 17 August.
“And now concerning thy question regarding the soul of man and its survival after death. Know thou of a truth that the soul, after its separation from the body, will continue to progress until it attaineth the presence of God, in a state and condition which neither the revolution of ages and centuries, nor the changes and chances of this world, can alter. It will endure as long as the Kingdom of God, His sovereignty, His dominion and power will endure. It will manifest the signs of God and His attributes, and will reveal His loving kindness and bounty.”
Emad Talisman, logistics coordinator of the Ottawa youth conference – held in mid-August, describes the capacities that the Ottawa Bahá’í community developed as a result of planning, participating in, or supporting youth to attend youth conferences and associated activities.
“O SON OF THE SUPREME! I have made death a messenger of joy to thee. Wherefore dost thou grieve? I made the light to shed on thee its splendor. Why dost thou veil thyself therefrom?”
The final four youth conferences called by the National Spiritual Assembly have now taken place, gathering approximately 150 youth in Waterloo, Ont., 165 in Ottawa, Ont., 330 in Vancouver, B.C, and 440 in Toronto, Ont.
