Message from the National Spiritual Assembly regarding commemoration of the Martyrdom of the Báb

Dear Bahá’í Friends,

At the invitation of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the United States, a beautiful program has been prepared by a team of Canadian believers for the commemoration of the Martyrdom of the Báb, sponsored by the House of Worship in Wilmette. Because of the constraints on gathering during the global health crisis, the program has been pre-recorded and will be available through the following link as of 1:00 p.m. CDT (Central Daylight Time) on Thursday, 9 July: https://www.bahai.us/commemoration-of-the-martyrdom-of-the-bab/ or on their Youtube channel at https://youtu.be/rt4Pup6sK5E. Of course, the Holy Day itself should be commemorated on Thursday, 9 July according to your local time at about noon (1:00 p.m. where Daylight Savings Time is in effect). We do not doubt you will have arranged for local commemorations or have encouraged multiple such gatherings in each locality, and we note that many will be held virtually in adherence to the varied public health advisories throughout the country. We hope this program might complement these plans at the grassroots and be a source of joy to those who participate.
