A message from the National Spiritual Assembly to the Bahá’ís of Canada, which will be the subject of consultation at this year’s unit conventions, 31 January 2015.
Bahá’í Councils 2014 – 2015
On 26 November, the Day of the Covenant, a new term of service began for Regional Bahá’í Councils in Canada. Referred to by the Universal House of Justice as a “new element of Bahá’í administration,” Councils are institutions “of a special kind,” brought into being by the Supreme Body to carry forward the teaching work and minister to the needs of a rapidly growing Bahá’í community.
Passing of Greg Johnson
Greg Johnson, who previously served on the Spiritual Assembly of Eskasoni and the Bahá’í Council of the Atlantic Provinces, passed away on 8 June.
National Spiritual Assembly reflects on the past year’s achievements
The National Spiritual Assembly’s annual report makes use of words, statistics and pictures to describe the progress that has been achieved this year in the thematic areas of “Expansion and consolidation,” “Enhancing institutional capacity,” and “Involvement in the life of society.”
