Sending funds during the postal disruption

Dear Bahá’í Friends,

In light of the current postal disruption, we wish to remind the friends that they can make payments to Huqúqu’lláh and contribute to the funds of the Faith through the online contribution system on the Membership Portal (https://member.bahai.ca).  Friends who are not yet using the online contribution system are encouraged to do so, as it is a safe and convenient method of contributing to all the funds of the Faith, including the Local Fund, and of making Huqúqu’lláh payments.  Funds can be sent through the online system via credit card or electronic funds transfer (EFT).  As well, receipts can be downloaded from the Membership Portal for payments to the Right of God and for fund contributions that are made through the National Centre or through Local Spiritual Assemblies that are using the receipting feature.

If accessing the Membership Portal for the first time, one must first complete the initial registration process and also verify one’s membership profile on the site.  To do so, the user must click the “Register” link, found just under the “Sign In” button.  This will take them to the Registration page, where they will need to provide the requested information.  Once that is completed, the user will be directed to a page to set up their password.  An authentication code will be sent to their email address; this will be needed to complete the Set Password page.  Once a password has been set, the registration process is finished, and the user will be directed to the home page of the Portal to log in with their email address and password.  When signing in to the site for the first time after registration, they must click a link to verify their membership profile.  After a user has completed the membership verification process, they can access the Bahá’í Funds Contribution System by clicking the “Contribute here” button.

If a believer has previously registered on the Membership Portal but has forgotten their password, they can click the “Forgot Password” button on the home page and follow the steps outlined on the site.
