Participating in Bahá’í elections
We are pleased to share a compilation of a few articles previously published in Bahá’í Canada on Bahá’í elections. The articles include guidance from Shoghi Effendi and the Universal House of Justice, pose questions for reflection, and seek to better understand the Administrative Order, “which is without precedent in human history for its standard of justice and its commitment to the practical realization of the oneness of mankind, as well as for its capacity to promote change and the advancement of world civilization.” [1]
In February, Bahá’ís over the age of 21 will have the privilege of electing delegates to attend the National Convention, and at Ridván, Local Spiritual Assemblies will be elected. The Universal House of Justice noted that “the elector should make his choice after careful thought over an extended period before the actual election.”
Also included are two Universal House of Justice messages on Bahá’í elections.
