Message regarding release of compilation on marriage

Dear Bahá’í Friends,

We are very happy to share with you the attached new compilation on marriage; kindly arrange for its wide distribution.  A French version will be circulated as soon as one is available.

In its covering letter dated 15 August 2023 to all National Spiritual Assemblies, the Department of the Secretariat of the Universal House of Justice shared the following about this compilation:

“The Universal House of Justice has asked us to inform you that a new compilation has been prepared by the Research Department titled “To Set the World in Order: Building and Preserving Strong Marriages”.  The compilation contains twenty-three newly translated selections from the Bahá’í Writings, three revealed by Bahá’u’lláh and twenty revealed by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá; among the latter are several prayers.  It is the hope of the House of Justice that this compilation will give new impetus to the ongoing efforts of the friends to deepen their understanding of this vital institution and that it will enrich their conversations about the essential role that the marital bond plays in the establishment of order, well-being, and unity in human relationships throughout society.

“The compilation is now available in the compilations section of the Bahá’í Reference Library.  National Spiritual Assemblies with Publishing Trusts are asked to consider producing printed editions.  The French, Russian, and Spanish Translation Panels will prepare translations in their respective languages and will make them available in due course.”
