Message from the National Spiritual Assembly regarding health restrictions — 3 March 2022

All Local Spiritual Assemblies
Dear Bahá’í Friends,
As public health restrictions ease across the country, the National Spiritual Assembly has received a number of inquiries about the continued necessity for proof of vaccination at institutionally-organized indoor events such as Nineteen Day Feasts and Holy Days. Since many provinces and territories have now removed this requirement for most or all public events, Local Spiritual Assemblies in those jurisdictions are also free to do so, observing all current provincial or territorial public health regulations as a minimum. At the same time, an Assembly that judges that the circumstances of its community warrant exceptional care may choose to go beyond these public health regulations.
We have rejoiced at the news of the gradual resumption of in-person gatherings across the country in accordance with public health guidelines and welcome any questions that arise as the community enters this new stage of the pandemic.
With loving Bahá’í greetings,
NATIONAL SPIRITUAL ASSEMBLY
OF THE BAHÁ’ÍS OF CANADA
