Message from the National Spiritual Assembly regarding the appointment of Auxiliary Board members

Dear Bahá’í Friends,
The Universal House of Justice has determined that, exceptionally, the new term for Auxiliary Board members will begin on 1 July 2021 rather than on the Day of the Covenant this year, to provide the Board members with sufficient time to make preparatory arrangements for the conference of the Continental Boards of Counsellors and Auxiliary Board members called for January 2022. It is with great joy that the National Spiritual Assembly shares with you news of the appointment, by the Continental Board of Counsellors, of Canada’s 26 Auxiliary Board members.

We join the Counsellors in their expression of love and gratitude to these distinguished friends who have served so faithfully and sacrificially and who will be relieved of this service as of 1 July 2021: Sara Chesley, Sohayl Ghadirian, Alaleh Rohani, Robert M. Ngunjiri, Rhona Scoffield, Sophie Turbide, Stacey-Michelle Tekye, and Tahirih North.
The Board of Counsellors’ 15 June 2021 letter concludes: “As the friends called to service as Auxiliary Board members begin their new term of service, we join the National Spiritual Assembly in its prayers beseeching the Blessed Beauty to shower His blessings and confirmations on these souls as they work shoulder to shoulder with the friends during this new epoch and stage in the unfoldment of God’s Divine Plan.” We invite you to join in our prayers for these dedicated servants of the Cause and their families.
