Dear Bahá’í Friends,
We hasten to share with you the attached letter received 15 September 2021, written on behalf of the Universal House of Justice and addressed to all National Spiritual Assemblies, sharing additional details about the worldwide conferences that will launch the Nine Year Plan. Filled with gratitude, the Counsellors and National Spiritual Assembly convened the same evening the letter was received, to study it together and set planning in motion.
This thrilling message arrives in the wake of a summer that has engaged large numbers of children, youth and families across the country, a remarkable achievement under the continuing public health restrictions that have been necessary in many regions. These friends, whether newly-met or familiar companions in the community-building work, are now your close collaborators in the commemoration of the four sacred occasions in November 2021–the Twin Holy Days, the Day of the Covenant and the hundredth anniversary of the Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. They will swell the numbers of participants in the worldwide conferences and will bring others with them. These prospects infused our initial consultation with great joy, and prompted us to share the attached letter without delay while more concrete plans take shape. As the letter notes, Regional Bahá’í Councils will play a central role in the planning and organization of the conferences: we will be in touch with Councils again in the coming days to begin consultation with them.
Dear friends, we hope you will share this letter and the attachment widely with your communities. Be assured of our heartfelt prayers for the friends’ efforts to teach the Cause in the swiftly passing months of the One Year Plan, each moment of which is infused with a special potency.
With loving Bahá’í greetings,
NATIONAL SPIRITUAL ASSEMBLY
OF THE BAHÁ’ÍS OF CANADA
