Grand Manan, N.B. holds concert to raise funds for nursing home
Bahá’ís who live on the island of Grand Manan, N.B. invited some of their friends to a potluck supper to discuss how they might serve their community. After considering many ideas and consulting with some more friends at the cluster reflection meeting, some of whom were musicians, the group decided to hold a benefit concert to beautify the grounds of a new nursing home that was being built in the area. The Spiritual Assembly of Grand Manan then approached the Grand Manan Nursing Home Foundation to plan the event together. The concert took place in late April and raised $600 to plant flowers and shrubs on the grounds of the nursing home.
