Friends in Yukon gather
In Tagish, Yukon, friends, including many First Nations friends, gathered to share stories and reflect on their role in carrying out the directives of the Tablets of the Divine Plan.
“‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s Tablets of the Divine Plan guided our discussions; they inspired us to reflect on our role in responding to these directives.”
On the weekend of July 22-23, we gathered in Tagish, Yukon, and had a wonderful time connecting as both longtime and new friends. We told our stories, retold spiritually significant dreams, and shared the important role that the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh have played in our lives, the lives of our families, and in our community-building work. ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s Tablets of the Divine Plan guided our discussions; they inspired us to reflect on our role in responding to these directives.
We are very grateful for the visit and presence of member of the Continental Board of Counsellors Dr. Borna Noureddin, who brought our attention to the following passage from a message of the Universal House of Justice:
“You have written the story of the unfoldment of the Divine Plan on the scroll of its first century. Before you, beloved friends, lies stretched out the blank scroll of the future on which you and your spiritual descendants will inscribe fresh and lasting deeds of renunciation and heroism for the betterment of the world.”[1]
Our spirits were uplifted as we remembered those who paved the way for this generation and who laid the foundation for the spiritual legacy of generations to come. The energy of the gathering was welcoming and joyful, and we hope that this will be one of many more gatherings to come.
