Association for Bahá’í Studies specialized seminars

| 2025/04/29

As part of its aim to create opportunities for the friends to learn about contributing to academic and professional discourses, the Association for Bahá’í Studies is organizing a number of specialized two-day seminars to be held in Calgary, Alberta. They will take place at the start of the annual conference, from Thursday, July 31, to Friday, Aug. 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. These seminars will bring together people from similar fields to study and consult about engaging with relevant discourses.

Seminars have a two-step application and registration process. If you are interested in applying, please visit the seminars page to find more details, and complete an application form by June 1. Filling out an application does not constitute registration for the seminar. Applicants will receive a response within two weeks, and those who are accepted will receive the full registration form and further details about the seminar. Please note that if interest exceeds capacity, priority will be given to those more connected with the discourse. Many seminars will require completing a set of readings prior to attendance, and registrants are required to attend the full seminar.

The seminars are part of the larger, annual ABS Conference, which will take place from August 1 to 3 inclusive. General conference registration opens on March 21, and the fee is $150 USD. For those who will also attend a seminar, the fee is an additional $50 USD.

For the children of seminar attendees, children and JY programs (ages five to 14) are available starting on the morning of Thursday, July 31.
