Association for Bahá’í Studies Conference registrations open
Registration for the Association for Bahá’í Studies (ABS) 48th annual conference to be held 2-4 August 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia, is now open.
This year, there is a two-step registration process. The first step is to register for the conference, noting that registrations may close early if capacity is reached before the 15 July deadline. The second step is to register for the breakout sessions, for which registrations will run from the beginning of June – 15 July. If participants do not select their own breakout sessions prior to the deadline, organizers will assign sessions to them.
New developments this year include a “discipline specific stream” to be offered in addition to the general breakout sessions. ABS describes this new development as a response “to the call of the Universal House of Justice to ‘create mechanisms for individuals from similar disciplines to interact at the annual conference and to encourage them to attempt to explore thought in their field or profession in light of the Teachings.’”
The discipline specific stream sessions are open to individuals “who are actively involved in current thought and discourse in specific fields.” For updates on these sessions, you can follow the communications through the ABS conference webpages.
